Where you may wait up to three days and how to avoid the jams. Long queues have formed at the border between Ukraine and Poland. At some checkpoints trucks wait more than three days.
Queues of cars, buses and trucks have risen sharply at the Ukrainian-Polish border. At some checkpoints truck drivers are forced to wait more than three days, while bus passengers report many hours of waiting under the open sun. This is confirmed by data from the “eCherga” system and information from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
One of the most difficult situations at the border with Poland is currently observed at the Krakovets – Korczowa checkpoint, where more than 600 trucks are in the electronic queue. The waiting time for certain categories of transport reaches almost three days.
The situation at the Yahodyn – Dorohusk checkpoint is no less tense. More than a thousand loaded trucks weighing over 7.5 tonnes are in the queue, and the average waiting time exceeds three days. Hundreds of empty and loaded trucks have also accumulated at the Shehyni – Medyka checkpoint.
At the same time, the situation is much calmer at the Ustyluh – Zosin, Hrushiv – Budomierz and Smilnytsia – Krościenko crossings, where the number of vehicles in the queue is significantly lower.
